Beach activities

The mild Mediterranean sea with its many miles of superb sandy beaches and promenades is a short drive away (nearest approx 8Km). You can find extensive water sports and leisure facilities, a relaxed atmosphere and more excellent food.

Bus to Marbella & the coast (Monday to Friday)

If you don’t have a car there is a bus (L-33) to and from Marbella that leaves Benahavis very early in the morning and returns in the evening. At the time of writing I believe it leaves Benahavis at 0630 and arrives in Marbella at 0715. The bus returns from Marbella leaving at 1825 and arrives back in Benahavis Village at 1930. Click Here for Bus Timetable. The bus stops along the way at all bus stops between Benahavis and Marbella including San Pedro, Puerta Banus and approx 500m from the beach as far as I know.

Municipal Swimming Pool / Children’s Park / Gym

If you take the road towards the Grand Hotel (Avenida de Moraleda) there is a children’s park with bar and the municipal swimming pool and gym.

Sports Facilities

Nearby Esencia Casa Rural is the multisports complex of Benahavis. Here there are tennis courts, a municipal pool, football pitch, municipal gym (3 Euros/day for non resident), basketball court, skate park and a golf driving range. There are many golf courses and clubs in and around Benahavis for all abilities, some of which are regarded as the best in Europe.

Cycling

The Ronda road and the road leading to Benahavis are both popular with cycling enthusiasts. There are also many mountain biking trails to be found in Benahavis Cycling & Mountain Biking in Benahavis for more details.

Golf
